We are delighted to share our ongoing commitment to reducing single-use plastics in our guest rooms. As part of this initiative, we have made a significant decision to eliminate single-use dry amenities, taking a bold step towards a plastic-free environment.
We understand the importance of preserving our planet for future generations. By removing single-use plastic amenities such as toothbrushes, combs, and shower caps from our guest rooms, we are significantly reducing our environmental footprint. Instead, guests can request dry amenities by calling room service or visiting our friendly team at reception.
As part of our ongoing efforts, we have made the proactive decision to move to large format amenities, replacing our single-use plastic common amenities with eco-friendly pump dispensers throughout the hotel. By eliminating single-use plastic bottles, we are significantly reducing the amount of waste generated by our operations. This commitment aligns with our dedication to environmental stewardship and reflects our ongoing efforts to improve sustainability in all aspects of our hotel.
We are committed to maintaining strong connections with our local community and give back wherever possible.
Our in-room amenities and welcome gifts are purchased from local businesses, including cheese and chocolate from Gallo Dairyland
Our preloved furniture and bedding is donated to local charities after renovations and upgrades.
We're doing something good with our containers In collaboration with Containers for Change, Mantra Trilogy, have committed to reducing the amount of drink container waste that ends up in landfill while directing all refunds to Ruth's Women's Shelter Cairns Inc. You may have noticed the new Containers for Change green bins in Bin chute in each level . We are encouraging all to deposit your empty 10 cent beverage containers in these dedicated bins. The funds collected from your deposited containers will assist in helping the community through the efforts of the Ruth's Women's Shelter Cairns Inc. The Ruth's Women's Shelter Cairns Inc aims to provide a safe environment for women and their children experiencing domestic and family violence. Thank you for helping us make our hotel a cleaner and greener place whilst supporting a worthy cause.
We acknowledge the ongoing connection to country of the traditional custodians and people of this beautiful region, Gimuy-walubarra yidi and Yirrganydji. Visitors can enhance their experience by learning of the region’s connection to the people and stories of the traditional custodians. We pay our respect to elders past, present and emerging.
At Mantra Trilogy we strive to accommodate the diverse needs of all our guests, including those with mobility challenges. We provide designated disabled parking spaces, with a flat walkway from carpark to lobby and lift access to every floor within the hotel. Our walk-in showers do have a small lip on entry, however, we are happy to arrange additional equipment and measures including shower chairs and ramps where required. Our sun deck is accessible via lift and there is a ramp and handrail for easy entry and exit into the pool. While we are a pet free hotel, Service animals are always welcome. Additionally, our friendly staff are trained to accommodate a range of needs and available at any time prior or during your stay to assist with any specific accessibility needs or requests.
